5 Things to Do in Baja California Sur

Baja California Sur

I recently had a chance to explore Baja California Sur

It is home to the small town of Los Barriles in the East Cape - which is considered a fisherman’s mecca.

The reason I was there, was as a guest of Surge - a conference where I was lucky enough to be surrounded by other influencers from the U.S. and Canada. We learned and connected on stories of entrepreneurship in digital media, all while exploring this beautiful part of Mexico.

Being an entrepreneur isn't easy - so I came in ready to learn and get help!
But, beyond that, we were challenged by the organizers on several fronts.

Keep looking for a way to push yourself

Baja California Sur

I typically look for ways to push myself; and because that is a part of my nature, I can get complacent and just not do it sometimes. Meaning, since I know that I generally push myself, on somedays I am content in saying, "but not today."

Well, this photo of me siting in the waterfall was indeed pushing myself. Because I wanted to sit right there in the waterfall, but I couldn't figure out how to  to get there. So, I had conceded to just the photo you see below - just sitting there on the side of the waterfall.

I wanted to get to the middle, but visions of me  crashing down the falls, tearing my skin and twisting my ankle kept playing in my head.

So, I stayed here for a while, until I pushed past the fear. Though it was slowly, I eventually made it across to get these epic photos.

Stop complaining and just do the yoga

Yoga was on the schedule after a long day of adventure.

No one really wanted to participate.

But, we all did.

Then our next yoga opportunity was a sunrise version - 6am!

If you know me, then you know that I am absolutely NOT a morning person.

I had to check myself!
This was a beautiful opportunity to peacefully practice yoga by the sea - on the beach!

So, I took time to pause and enjoy the blessing of the moment.

When they say relax, relax!

I'm always working.
I'm building a company, and much of it is around travel. So, whenever I'm on a trip, I expect to work on producing some sort of content.

But organizers of the conference insisted that we actually play and relax.

Or, just...
really do nothing in the pool, while looking at the sea.
