Fashion: Heels! The new wearable art!

Sky high heels have been a thing since, well...ALWAYS. Cinderella's glass slipper helped her Prince seek her out, and there's a persistent legend that a famous rock star once poured champagne into his model/date's heel and served it to her (both romantic and slightly icky!).

Heels have changed a LOT in the last 20 years, Lately, they have become something akin to a wearable art form. The models I work with come to each shoot with suitcases spilling over with some of the coolest shoes I have ever seen.

I don't wear them often, they're certainly not great for your feet, but they ARE gorgeous. Here, some of my faves from an internet search

These have my friend Emily's name written ALL over them!

Could these be any cooler? Google Lego heels by Finn Stone

I am both fascinated and horrified by these! I could never walk in them, but they are pretty darned cool, and I could take them apart and play Jenga with them!!!!

I am a HUGE fan of Barbie. And pink. And sparkle. These were obviously made for me!!!!

Steampunk!!!! I'll bet model La Maupin would adore these!
Find them on clockworkcouture.com

These are kind of cool. I could see some fashion forward bride putting her bridesmaids in these.

I love that local model/opera singer Heather rocked these heels for her wedding.
