8 Tips for Manifesting the Life You Want

Some people seem to have it all, don’t they? Between the money, family, career, and the body, it’s like a great life fell out of the sky and dropped plumb on their heads. But anyone successful will tell you it’s not all sunshine and rainbows when it comes to building the life you want; most times, it starts by manifesting your deepest desires.

You’ve probably heard of manifestation within the realm of creating your dream life. While it might sound a bit woo-woo to those who are skeptical of its powers, the reality is it’s a genuine phenomenon when applied properly. So before we dive into our tips, let’s talk a little bit about what manifestation both is and isn’t.

Manifestation is not the same as daydreaming. It is not wishful thinking or believing that envisioning your dream life alone is enough. What manifestation is, is envisioning the life you want, thinking that you can achieve it, and then taking consistent, daily actions to realize it. In short, the most critical component to successful manifestation is taking daily steps to make your dream life come true.

So, no, sitting on your butt with your eyes shut and waiting for success to fall in your lap is not what we’re talking about--far from it, in truth. So here are some tips on how to make your dream life reality through this seemingly magical process.

Get specific
Taking steps to achieve your goals will be a lot easier if you know precisely what it is you want. Unfortunately, it’s hard to manifest thoughts like, “I want to make more money.” Okay, well how much money do you want to make? What are some financial “checkpoints” you want to set for yourself along the way? How do you want to make this money? It will serve you immensely to get clear about the specifics of what you want before you try to get it. Moreover, it’s much easier to manage your goals if they’re more specific.

Pinpoint your motives
Okay, so let’s say you want to save $10,000 in a year. That’s a great, specific goal that is entirely within your reach. But now we have a bigger question: why do you want to save this money? Why do you want to achieve any of your goals? What is your driving purpose of doing all of this? The answer will most likely differ from person to person, so don’t worry if you feel like yours is too strange. Everyone’s goals and motives differ, and that’s okay. What’s most important is knowing yourself well enough to see yours.

Daily affirmations
How do you like to start your day? Do you roll out of bed and check your social media, or do you take a few minutes to center and ground yourself? If you chose the latter, chances are you’re more serious about manifesting your vision. Setting aside time each day, preferably in the morning, to practice daily affirmations of gratitude and achievement are excellent for reminding yourself of your bigger goals, which can easily get lost in daily living. We recommend writing down or speaking out loud three things you’re grateful for in addition to three steps you’re going to take that day to help move you closer towards your goal.

Believe in achieving
If this sounds corny, don’t worry; we’ve all been there. Before most of us genuinely accepted the power of manifestation, we too thought that trusting and believing in the process was a bunch of hooey. Then, it happened to us, and we were forever changed. There is something to be said for putting out “good vibes” into the universe; many times, it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. Think about it: are you more likely to ace a test if you’re nervous and unsure of yourself or if you’re confident in whatever happens? Even if you study in both scenarios, you’re more likely to perform better when you actively tell both yourself and the universe that you got this. The power of the human mind is amazing.

Take action
This part of the puzzle is the most crucial and the most decisive in whether you hit your goal or not. All of this positivity, gratitude, and vision-building is nothing without taking action. Even the Bible says "Faith without works is dead." Unfortunately, this is where most people tend to drop their end of the bargain. We understand that it’s difficult to keep at something that seems so big and so far away. However, you’ll be overjoyed at how successful you can be in achieving your goals once you learn the power of small, consistent, daily actions. Don’t sell you or your dreams short by not disciplining yourself.

Keep your eyes open for feedback
Manifestation is a lot like having a conversation with the universe. You communicate to it, and it talks back, often in the form of daily happenings or exchanges with other people. Pay attention to these interactions, as they could clue you in to the things you’re doing right and the things that could use a little tweaking. Blindly pursuing your goals with little regard for those around you is a surefire way to fail. While we believe that failure can be one of the best teachers you’ll ever have, we don’t believe in failing at the same thing over and over again without trying to explore why it’s happening. Listen to the signs around you, and trust that God and the universe does have your best interest and wants you to succeed.

Cut out the negative stuff
Have you ever had a friend who seemed to complain about everything? How did you feel after spending time with them? Our guess is probably not too good. Of course, this dip in your mood makes sense when you consider that surrounding yourself with negative, low-vibrating people will only bring you down and sap you of those valuable high vibrations. To ascend, you’ll need to surround yourself with people and influences who also want to climb. Anything or anyone that’s consistently dragging you down are relationships you’ll need to reevaluate seriously.

Take care of your body
The mind and body are deeply intertwined. Therefore, a healthy body will make for a healthy mind and vice versa. It might be easy to get tunnel vision when you’re doggedly pursuing your goals, but forgetting to take care of your physical health can hinder you from achieving your dreams the most. You don’t have to be a bodybuilder to make this happen, but you should watch what you eat and try to get some moderate exercise throughout the day. Don’t forget your beauty sleep, either; a restful night’s sleep of eight hours will help refresh your mind for the new day.

The road to success is a long, winding, and often dangerous one. While we don’t want to sugarcoat anything for you, we also want to remind you that you have the power to steer your life in the direction you want it to go.
