Fashion Tip:Head to Toe | Memorial Day Style

One of my favorite weekends of the year is coming up and I can't wait.
Although Summer officially starts June 20th, Memorial Day weekend is when we un-officially honor it's pressence.

So, time to plan what to wear as we now have permission to peel off the layers and start showing some skin.

Hats

Yes! Straw hats are the best because they will cover you from the sun while not sweating your wig out!
Go for floppy if you are feeling 'oh so chic!', or a cute fedora for sassy style.

*tip: if you have black hair go for the tan color. Besides the heat, black hair will swallow the look of a black cap.

Pastel It!

Colors are definitely the way to go and I know you think the trend is only primary colors. But pastels have made their way on the racks in the form of flowy maxi dresses and skirts. (Could you imagine your hat with a maxi dress?!)

If a full dress is not your style, break up the trend with a flowing pastel maxi skirt and a simple tee or tank. (Young ladies in their 20's can even go for a crop top or tube top!)

The the most casual look, and one of my favorites, try a flowy top with some cut off jeans.

*My D-Y-Iers, check out these dyed jean shorts!
Wedges

Or espadrilles. Nothing says warm weather than with wicker-like interlaced bottoms of this shoe style. If you are looking for height, go for the wedge. Most say they are comfortable all day, you can go to the amusement park, walk on sand and even run in them. (Although that is not recommended!)

The traditional version are these flat "Toms" looking kind.

This shoe style not only can hide your chipped pedicure from trolliping on through the sand, but is the perfect summer shoe!

What are your plans for the weekend? A cookout? The beach? Let me know and post some pics on our Facebook page!
