Rea Life: Recipe - Kale Brownies

This year is about eating healthy! So I'm trading in my old Betty Crocker recipe in for Kale Brownies. I promise, you won't die after eating them. LOL!-Brittany 

Kale Brownies

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups kale or spinach leaves 
  • 3 tbsp ground flax
  • 1 cup of coconut oil
  • 1 cup coconut flour
  • 2/3 cup of BarnDad's German Chocolate Protein powder
  • 1/4 cup cacao or cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, optional
  • 3/4 cup applesauce 
  • 2 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of water

Bake:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 
In a large mixing bowl, pour all the wet ingredients into the dry ones. Stir until just evenly combined.
Pour into the prepared pan, and Bake 19-20 minutes. 
Let brownies sit 15 minutes before cutting into squares. 
Makes 20-24 squares.
