5 Last Minute New Year's Eve Ideas in Atlanta
It's time!If you're like me, you have no Earthly idea of what you're doing for New Year's Eve 2015.
And the usual suspects, yanno, your party-going pals are no where to be found.
No worries...at least if you're in the Atlanta metro area...I've scrounged up some Beyond the Usual ideas on how to bring in 2016.
(Yes! That's also a tease for my new travel show debuting in just a few weeks!)
- If the traditional Peach Drop ignites your claustrophobia, then bring the kiddies to the Geranium Drop in McDonough (about 30 miles south from the Atlanta city center). Festivities start at 8pm, backed by a lineup of bands and DJ Danny Ray to ring in the New Year. Oh, it’s FREE!
- Wanna get really country? Ladybird Grove and Mess Hall is hosting their second annual "Do Nuthin' Party." No reservations needed and no cover charge. Just head on over for a la carte bites and the Wasted Potential Brass Band playing live. Forget the champagne toast at midnight - it’s all about the Miller High Life beer!
- Up for night of bowling and bocce ball? The gather your group to the Painted Pin for New Year’s Eve in the most casual way! For this special night, But, he boutique alley also has a magician and live music by Gurufish to celebrate 2015. No cover to join the fun, just the cost of your games and gear.
- Feel like dressing up, but not in formal wear? Then head over to Bone Lick BBQ off Huff Road, and for just $5 (in advance) and $45 at the door, you can party like it’s the ‘80’s. This theme party will also treat the first 50 guests to free 3-D glasses, and everyone will get a glass of champagne to toast in the New Year!
