Making chocolate in Mexico

Check out another one of my travel adventures!

On a recent trip to Mexico, I visited Xcaret Park.
Xcaret is the cultural park that was recently voted the "best theme park outside of the U.S." They truly do a wonderful job at sharing the culture of the people of the Yucatan peninsula.

WATCH: Forget walking, let's take a segway everywhere

One of those traditions is Chocolate.
And the story/legend about how it was made back in the day is majestic. The ancient Mayan's believed it was the drink of the gods. That it was holy. The process of grinding and blending...well, it wasn't easy. I went to chocolate making class, and you can see how it was done.
