Real Life Daily Tip: Remove Odor from Thrift or Vintage Clothing

If you know me, then you know that I LOVE Love love thrifting and finding vintage clothing.

But one of the biggest turnoffs is that stale smell.
And in some cases, there is even a stinky, musty, even poo-like smell.
Once before, I had to even discard an item after doing my thrift store wash three times!

Finally, I've found two solutions that are sure to rid your great thrift find from (almost) every odor.

All you need is VODKA!

1. mix one part vodka
2. with two parts water
3. spritz smell clothes with the mixture
4. then wash!

or Try CAT LITER

It makes sense.
Cat liter is great for eliminating odor and many folks put it at the bottom of their trash cans or as a deodorizer for shoes. So it's no surprise that it works great to get the must out of old clothing.

1. put the clothing in a plastic bag
2. pour unscented cat liter in the bag
3. seal the bag and keep it for at least 24 hours

Give it a try and let us know what you think. Also, give us your tips and we'll feature it right here.
