A main part of travel is trying the local food and drink.
Now, if you know me, then you know that I have a few things that just don't suite me - fish, coconut and all nuts, except peanuts and mushrooms. No allergies, just a deep dislike.With that, there are times when I will just opt for a vegetarian menu, especially at times when I am more prone to getting sick. (That is usually in the winter months when other people are coughing and sneezing all over the place. I'm not sickly, and I usually load up on vitamin-C and other preventative methods.) Another factor, is extended periods of continuous travel. That was the case of when I went to Indonesia. It was a 10 day trip, after a 7 day trip in the Florida Keys.
When I got there, my guide said that I should try 'hot orange.' It is simply hot orange juice, but they claim it is loaded with tons of vitamin-C, and well...check out my taste test in the video below:
