A lot of people struggle being stuck at home during lockdown. One of the reasons for this is because the options of things to do to keep minds active were limited. If you are struggling to find something to do at home during the pandemic, you might want to check out some of these awesome ideas

Making Playdough

If you have kids, you might want to consider making playdough. This is great fun for the little ones and will help you avoid needing to buy it in a store. The best part is that the ingredients you need are probably things that you already have in your home. Salt, plain flour, warm water, food coloring, and vegetable oil is all you need. You can even add smells like peppermint or lavender to make your playdough really special.

You can also make slime. It’s the same idea and it’s just a few different ingredients.

Design Your Own T-Shirts

You might want to consider designing your own t-shirts at home too. To do this, you just need to invest in some wholesale plain tees. After that, you can look into equipment like Freehand’s beginner presses. This will allow you to press your own design onto the t-shirt and they can look quite incredible. It could even be a starting point for a business if you start making your own tees in bulk.

Decorating Wine Glasses

Do you have more than enough wine glasses in your home? If so, then you might want to think about decorating some of them to add a little more personality to your dining ware. Just make sure that you choose the right paint and that the glasses can be washed as normal afterwards.

Scrabble Name Frames

What about creating something that you can give as a gift to someone else? Consider creating a Scrabble frame. These are exactly as they sound and will look amazing. They’re certainly going to be appreciated by whoever you present them to as a gift. You can decorate them however you like to ensure that it matches their own style. All you need is some scrabble pieces and then you can fit them together to spell out the name of the person and those they are closest too.

Try coloring books

We’ve seen that during the pandemic people have been baking breads, building gardens and more because they have been at home. But, you should think about what you can do that’s only for you. For example, many adults have started coloring in coloring books again. But there are actually benefits to coloring - it relieves stress and is meditative. Try coloring in bed before you go to sleep at night as a way to wind down, as opposed to scrolling on your phone. If you are looking for a series of coloring books fit for all ages check out these by journalist Dayvee Sutton: Wonders of the World and other fantastic places to visit, Maps of the world and other interesting places to explore, and Beauties of the world and other features to adore.
