Wilt spinach in a frying pan with minced garlic and chili powder. Serve everything together and add a slice of seeded bread for extra carbs if you want!

Avocado on Toast
Yes, we know… this one is a trend that all millennials know very well, however this is a popular choice for a reason. Avocados have one of the best sources of healthy fats and this is essential for any meal. Avocado on toast can be made many different ways - from simple with just an avocado and some salt and pepper, to adding hummus and a fried egg. For a protein packed version, here is our recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices seeded bread
  • 1 large avocado
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 portion of lean bacon
  • A small tomato vine, with 6-8 tomatoes
  • Chilli flakes
  • Honey

In a baking tray, place the tomatoes with some seasoning and oil and bake for 20 minutes.
Grill the bacon until juicy and crispy. Slice into small pieces.
Toast the bread, and add either sliced or smashed avocado. Fry your eggs to taste and place on top of the toast.
Add the bacon to the top of the eggs, and serve with fresh and juicy tomatoes. This meal is one that combines fats, carbs and protein seamlessly and will allow you to start the day full.

Beans on toast
If all else fails and you are looking for a healthy recipe for the morning, beans on seeded toast is a great choice! Beans are low in fat and full of protein and fiber, providing you with a healthy and filling start to the day. Butter some toast and pour on some beans for a simple breakfast this morning.
