Travelscope Travel Tuesday: Black People DO Ski!

On this week's TravelScope, Lori and I invited Caroline Eubanks, from Caroline in the City Blog

Caroline Eubanks

We started off talking about my weekend and first experience snow-skiing! Not only was it the warmest December in Southern history...we think...but most ski resorts up and down the Southeast were closed! So how did I manage it?

Lori and Caroline chatted about changes in the travel coming soon -Real ID extensions from Homeland Security are set to expire on January 10th. (I was M.I.A. because my internet went down!)a

But I was back just in time to chat about Millennial Travel. It was top talk last year and travel brands are trying to "target the Millennials". What does that really mean? What are Millennials looking for? What is it important?

Answering viewer questions about "best travel hacking sites" - the panel chimed in to give our best tips that it's a three part process:
1. Research websites like:
skyscanner.com
kayak.com
google flights
momondo.com

2. Don't book through those sites. Rather, you should book directly with the vendor. For example, if you see a deal for a cheap hotel on kayak.com. Call the hotel and ask them about the deal, and then try to negotiate an even better one.

3. Finally, once you have arrived...when you check-in, ask for an upgrade. You'll likely always get it!

Check out the discussion below!
